Me

My name is Kobe Jones and im 15 years old and Attend Whitney Young High School. I sort of always knew i wanted to come to Whitney Young. I remember back in 5th grade when my sister had a volleyball game at Whitney how blown away i was with the atmosphere and how big the school was and i just loved it, and ever since then Whitney's been my choice. I play football and basketball for the school and i also play AAU basketball out of school with a team called Young N Reckless. I've been playing football since my older brother started at Ogden Park on Chicago's South side. When i first started i was too young to play but they let me play anyway. And ive been playing basketball since about 3rd Grade. My birthday in October 8th. I have 3 sibling an older sister Brooke who's in her last year of college at SIUC, and an older brother who's a freshman in college at McKendree University on a football scholarship who graduated from Simeon Career Academy, and i have a younger Brother Ryan who's in 5th grade. We all play sports my sister played volleyball, my older brother played football and baseball, i play football and basketball, and my younger brother plays football, baseball, and basketball. When i grow up i want to play professional sports either football or basketball, and if that doesn't plan out i want to be a sports manager or orthodontist. So yea that's a little about me.

John Proctor Hero or Stooge

I don't feel as though John Proctor is necessarily a hero in the Crucible because he's supposed to be a puritan and live the puritan lifestyle but he does several things that go against the puritan way of life. He doesn't go to church often which is a huge deal in the puritan lifestyle because he doesn't go and commune and worship god. And you cant really be a puritan and sometimes go to church, he has to be committed to the lifestyle and he certainly isn't. And he doesn't know the 10 commandments. He was asked to recite them and he couldn't. His youngest child isn't baptized and you cant really have a puritan way of life and you don't take certain puritan ordeals. A big way i feel John Proctor isn't a hero is because he committed adultery with Abigail, and he wont admit to it or bring it up to his wife or anyone else. And he basically lies and covers it up which is a sin to puritans. And the fact that all this has happened now Abby is doing things to kind of get back at him which is unveiling a lot of lies about him and making a lot of people suspicious about him and his family like Hale. Abby is kind of making good of the situation to cover up her lies and spreading rumors that John worships the devil. So when John finally confesses to the affair with Abby the rumors are already spreading about him so it adds on to the suspicion which is having a lasting affect on John and his family.
